The Red Bridge Shopping Center is a 150,000 square foot grocery anchored retail center located in South Kansas City, Missouri. The JC Nichols Company originally developed the property in 1959 to be a neighborhood shopping destination. In late 2015, Lane4 Property Group, Inc. purchased the property and began a massive $13.25 million transformation in an effort to revitalize the surrounding community and attract new businesses and jobs.
Renovations included upgrading the exterior of the building with modern finishes, new roofs, and a parking lot, fresh landscaping, new lighting throughout, sidewalks, pocket parks at the corners of the center and in other places where needed.
Lane4’s goal was to update and remodel the property to a level that benefits the surrounding neighborhoods and schools. It is their desire for Red Bridge Shopping Center to be a “go-to” center for the entire community.
Since the renovation, 278 new jobs have been created and another 124 jobs have been retained. Euston Hardware, Blue Bicycle Fitness Center, and Sofi Cucina Italiana Restaurant were announced as new tenants.
The development team consisted of Centric Projects as the general contractor and Generator Studio as the architects.
