The EDC and the City of Kansas City, Missouri recently welcomed Fred Hefer, Managing Director of Pomerol Partners, to Kansas City, MO, for an exploration visit. Pomerol Partners is a London-based business intelligence (BI) consultancy company who provides data and visualization services to companies who need a strategic process to analyze their data.
The purposes of Hefer’s visit was to establish Kansas City, Missouri as Pomerol Partners’ U.S. partner and to explore a variety of local industry market opportunities. Narbeli Galindo, the EDC’s International Business Development Initiatives Coordinator, planned a full agenda for Hefer, including introductions to local, regional and state organizations.
Hefer also attended a 1 Million Cups presentation at the Ewing Marion Kauffman Foundation to learn about Kansas City’s entrepreneur networks and resources.
The connection with Pomerol Partners was made through our relationship with the British Consulate of Chicago/UK Trade & Investment team. The team visited in October for the British Pop-up Consulate event and we have remained connected to assist with more partnerships.
