Following the June announcement that SS&C Technologies Holding, Inc., would eliminate six percent of the global DST Systems workforce, impacting an unspecified number of local layoffs, TeamKC: Life+Talent, the Kansas City Area Development Council’s (KCADC) talent attraction initiative, vaulted into action to retain these skilled professionals in our community. DST was acquired by Connecticut-based SS&C Technologies in April.

For the first time, TeamKC opened its KC Career Network portal (KCCN) to include resumes from these displaced workers, who can send them to teamKC@thinkKC.com. Built over a number of years, KCCN has been used to help organizations share the resumes of their new employees’ trailing spouses/partners with area employers as a way to help them settle into their next career in Kansas City.

By repurposing KCCN, TeamKC is working to connect former DST employees with regional companies and recruiters are satisfying a critical need for skilled talent. TeamKC acts as an extension of the recruiting and HR teams of more than 250 major employers and a network of more than 800 recruiters in the region.
